Bhakta Raj Acharya is a renowned musical personality in the Nepali music industry. Bhakta Raj moved from Darjeeling to Nepal in the 1970s and started his musical journey here in Nepal after winning a gold medal in an All Nepal Singing Competition. The movie is based on the life of Bhakta Raj Acharya who endured a lot of pain in his life before breaking into the music industry. Bhakta Raj Acharya grew up in extreme poverty and lost his father very early. Under these circumstances, music was not the thing that would buy him the bread.
However, Acharya was determined to follow his passion as a singer. Bhakta Raj overcame all the obstacles that came before him to become one of the greatest singers of Nepal. After witnessing success in the Nepali musical industry, his stint as a singer was cut short after a tumor was detected in his tongue. He would not continue his music career but raised his sons so that they’d pick from Bhakta Raj left. Both the sons have been successful in the Nepali music industry. The movie is about the real-life struggles of Bhakta Raj Acharya and is played by his elder son, Satya Raj Acharya.
